Problem with installing Windows 10 on a virt Windows 10 machine

Hello,
I have installed VitualBox 6.... under Debian Stretch AMD64.
After having successfully installed a Windows 7 Home Premium machine (is a bit slow but that's OK) I created a virtual Windows 10 machine following the suggestions in
https://pureinfotech.com/install-window ... irtualbox/
and
https://www.itworld.com/article/2825616 ... albox.html.
The machine has 2 CPUs, 4GB RAM, 100GB dynamicalle allocated virt disk and accesses the win10_1909_English_x64.iso
The machine boots and starts the setup program. I was able to enter the language etc. and the type of installation I want (Windows 10 Pro), but then it hangs 1/3 down the 'Collecting Information' section.
What should I do to get the setup done?

There's not quite so many periods in the official designation of the Virtualbox version number, only two actually, and there's other numbers between & after the two periods. Can you fill in the blanks, please?

If the guest's Virtualbox window is open and the guest OS is doing something guest-OS-ish, then Virtualbox is running and the guest should be fixed as if it is running on a real PC not a virtual one. In other words pretend your real PC is installing Windows 10 and is stuck. Google & troubleshoot accordingly.

Quick doublecheck: This sounds like you might be running nested virtualization. Are you doing this:
Debian > Virtualbox > Windows 10 > Virtualbox > Windows 10 #2.
or this:
Debian > Virtualbox > Windows 10
Also, please zip and post a guest vbox.log, after closing and powering down the guest window.

Sorry for the somewhat sloppy designation of the VB version installed.
In the meantime I have installed VB 6.1.0r135406 and I tried with various parameter settings to install Windows 10.
Without success.
Having successfully installed VB and Windows 10 on a virtual machine on my laptop I wondered whether the problem is the hardware.
And indeed: Windows 10 does not like my AMD Athlon X2. That solved that problem.
I would have stopped my experiments if I had received the appropriate information when running Setup. Early in the execution of Setup a screen appeared for a fraction of a second that probably contained this information - it was not readable. In some trials a rather obscure message was issued saying something about a hardware error that required a restart of Setup. That did not help either.
So now I am in the market for a new PC.
Thanks for you effort.

In such a case, you can simply use the
Video Capture feature of VirtualBox to record a video and then watch it frame by frame.
