GPU situation

Post by alain.roger »

Hi,

Like a lot of persons, i would like to be able to use more than 256 MB in VM and especially to be able to use NVidia driver from HOST (Linux) under my Guest oS (windows).
Till now this is not possible.

I would like to know if there are new steps in this direction and if some walkaround or solution/improvement has been found today to allow guest OS to overpass this limit of memory and GPU features?

thx
Manjaro 21 / Plasma 5

Memory? No. 256 is the max, and it's going to be the case for the foreseeable future.

PCI passthrough? Not really. Have you read the requirements? 9.5. PCI Passthrough. I know of only one person that actually did it, and he said it wasn't worth it...
