Ctrl+A doesn't seem to work in 6.0.13 r133688

Post by reggler »

Hi,

I'm running VB versiuon 6.0.13 r133688 due to running an up to date Arch guest and I'm experiencing a problem on my Windows 109 guest:
I have the host running on Ubuntu (xenial, 16.04) and a Win10 guest with which I'm logged into my work VPN to get access to my remote desktop (from work which is Windows 10, too).
There (on my work host)I open a putty session, to get access to a Linux host on whhich I'm ruinning GNU Screen, and in order to enter the "Command mode", (left)Ctrl+a has to be pressed (for example to switch Windows) - that always worked fine before (I upgraded to the latest VM version), now Ctrlk+a doesn't seem to doi anything anymore, I've removed the (left)Ctrl+A shortut from Preferences, Input, VB Manager - just in case. I've also changed my host key to the right Alt key... but nothing seemned to have helped... is this a known issue, I'm wondering or something new?

Also, this keyi combo (with all the hosts in between, works fine when I VPN to my Win10 host at work through Windows directly and bypass the VM)...

One thing is for sure, you don't make the case easy to reproduce...

First thing I would do would be to downgrade VirtualBox to something that used to work, see if it works...
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
