No sound on CD-ROMs for Windows XP Professional
No sound on CD-ROMs for Windows XP Professional
This actually goes for Windows 95, 98, 2000, and ME too. But XP Professional is my primary concern since I'm gonna use it more than the others. The sound works perfectly fine in nearly everything. OS sounds and default game sounds (such as Pinball) work just fine. When I try playing CD-ROM games, things such as cinematic cutscenes will play audio, but the actual games will be completely silent.

Re: No sound on CD-ROMs for Windows XP Professional
Some games, especially older games, made use of MIDI, something that's not supported in VirtualBox.
