We have Windows 7 64 Bit Application VM setup and running 6.0.12 . When I open the VM and try to attach a USB Device , I go through the normal Devices/USB and Left click the device and then nothing, it never connects. If I try to connect again it tells me Failed to connect' the name of the device' to 'the name of the VM' I have waited up to a hour and still nothing. If I unplug the device from that port and put it into another port, it appears as a second device (Duplicate). If I try to attach that one ....same results...nothing. Yes the USB 3.0 is checked in the setting before you ask that.
What do you think is going on? I look on this site and the "Fixes" that I can find are not valid and they do not fix anything. This is a real problem..... Most of the remote items I use on this computer are USB Based.....

See USB basics and troubleshooting
Carefully follow the steps. This "fix" works when it is followed carefully and properly. I have used it successfully.
If you have problems, see step 8 and carefully post the command outputs, etc. asked for, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.
Note the point also that the tutorial has about Windows 7 and USB 3.
