Unable to find Ethernet Card on the Win10 Virtual Machine

Post by HappyVMer »

Hi,
=========================================================================================================
Linux Host(Fedora 19 :: ip= 192.168.2.10) --> Win10(Virtual Machine :: ip= 192.168.2.210)  --> Router (ip = 192.168.1.1)
                     |
                     v
StarTech Ethernet card (ip = 192.168.1.101)
==========================================================================================================
The above represents my setup. My goal is to connect to the Router from both Linux Host and also Win10(VM). So far I'm able to connect to the Router from Linux and unable to from Win10.

Are there any setting I can do on the win10?

Please read Introduction to networking modes including the Overview table, which shows quickly what kind of connection is required to achieve what you want. And remember, you can always have more than one network card in your guest to cover multiple scenarios.

It looks to me from your description that you're looking at the Bridged mode...
