VB clipboard broken in v 6.0.10

Post by mrzenwiz »

In additino to the sound problem I reported at viewtopic.php?f=7&t=94845, I have also noticed that the bidriectional clipboard is no longer working in 6.0.10.

This is true on my home Linux desktop with a Win7 VM, but it is also true on my work laptop running windows 10 with an Xubuntu VM.

What happens is I select something in the VM, mark it for copy (either with ^C, <ctrl><xhift>C (in a terminal window) or with the Edit->Copy menuitem), move the ursor to the native host and attempt to insert (paste), and nothing pastes.

This happens whether I copy from the VM to the host or from the host to the VM.

We need to see a complete VBox.log, from a complete VM run, where the problem occurs:
  • Start the VM from cold-boot (not from a paused or saved state) / Observe or recreate the problem / Shutdown the VM (force close it if you have to).
  • With the VM completely shut down (not paused or saved), right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager and select "Show Log".
  • Save only the first "VBox.log", ZIP it and attach it to your response. See the "Upload attachment" tab below the reply form.
