I can confirm that solution provided here http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/2212#comment:35 fix my problem, no delay on startup any more.

What I cannot understand is how did you guys managed to provide a link to a zip-file that is corrupted when downloaded by IE 7. Although the file seems to be fine when I downloaded it with Firefox 3.

Nevertheless, thanks a lot for the fix!

Wow... YOU are absolutely correct...

After reading your comment I downloaded and installed firefox and then I re-downloaded the .ZIP file in the link with firefox and all is fine...

I have no idea why a file would download corrupted with IE (I tried both 32 and 64 bit versions of IE) but would download fine with FireFox....

Im guessing something is up with their server...

yay! it did work when i downloaded with firefox!

also, that dang memory leak is fixed with the same replacement! woot!
