Forcing screen size

Post by marius_1956 »

How can I force the screen size of a Windows guest so that it uses a given size, let's say 800x600, without growing to full screen?

By ... changing the resolution from within the guest I guess?

Many thanks for your reply.
It's the first solution I attempted, but in a short time the windows grows again to full screen.
Maybe it depends on something in Guest Addictions?

There's a menu item, "View" » "Full Screen Mode...". Make sure that it's not set/enabled. Or press HostKey+F...
