EL8 TestBuild rpm Fails: Conflicts With filesystem-3.8-2.el8.x86_64

I'm attempting to install testbuild VirtualBox-6.0-6.0.11_133020_el8-1.x86_64.rpm on an Oracle Linux 8 Workstation (Thinkpad X280). However this is failing with the following error:

I've attached the full log.

Inspecting the rpm using rpm2cpio ... | cpio -tv suggests there might be a packaging problem as it does indeed explicitly list the above directories, and many other common ones, whereas non-testbuild VirtualBox-6.0-6.0.8_130520_el7-1.x86_64.rpm doesn't include them.

I happened to be monitoring the Test builds section (I was waiting for a patch) I noticed the new entry for EL8, I noticed the test build being uploaded, I asked about it, I was told that it was broken. From the crib...

That's why in the official Linux Downloads for 6.0.12 (which is after your test build) there's no entry for EL8. I guess they're working on fixing it, but 6.0.12 had to be released, without EL8 support.

I would keep on monitoring the test builds, I hope that it will be fixed sooner rather than later...

I see 6.0.13_133145_el8-1 is now available. However it has the same problem, so not fixed yet.

Not a public one that I know of. The testbuilds for EL8 was the first public sign that I saw regarding EL8...

Yes and no... It's called the "Refresh the page in your browser and make sure that you remember what the previous test build revision was" mechanism!

Aha! I hadn't noticed that, downloading... That's the "notification mechanism" in action!

Your question did actually make me think twice about that... I might open a thread for this. You can subscribe to a thread and get e-mail notifications about each and every post. So, whoever spots a new test build, could inform the rest of us. Something similar to what Jacob is doing with the Win10-insider_builds in VirtualBox success reports on Windows 10 Insider builds.
