Cannot install Windows Guest additions on Windows 10 Guest

I am unable to install windows Guest additions on my Windows 10 Guest OS.
The Guest O.S. is windows 10, Build 18362
I am running Virtual Box Version 6.0.10 r132072 (Qt5.6.3) on Mac OSX 10.14.6.
The Guest Additions ISO mounts fine in the guest O.S and the installation commences but errors out after a short while with the errors in the attached file (pasted below fo convenience):-

I have tried rebooting the Guest OS and re installing but it fails with the same error.
I did uninstall and reboot and try again as well.
Ultimately - I am after folder sharing between guest and host OS and while I can configure this in Virtual box - the shared folder is not present in the Guest - suggesting the drivers are not installing.

I would like you to clean your guest's Driver Store. See
How to Clean FileRepository Folder in DriverStore?. But that error is about the WDDM driver, nothing to do with the following...

Do *not* download the Guest Additions (GAs) ISO separately from the main program, the ISO comes bundled with it. The only thing you're going to achieve is confusion.

Is that your evidence? It shouldn't. Look at your system tray, is there a VirtualBox icon?

Maybe because you have a wrong automount point in there? There's no "
G" in the Windows world, there's only "
G:\" or "
G:". Try that...

thanks for your help socratis,
to clarify:
I am using the Guest Additions ISO that was bundled with the virtual box installer package
I do not have a virtual box icon in the guest system tray
I have thus followed the instructions to clean the guests driver store* (I didn't use the manual method at the end, only the pnputil.exe a ;- as the pnputil.exe instructions, worked with the /f option.
I also deleted the contents of the c:\Program Files\Oracle\Virtualbox Guest Additions\ Folder , and the folder itself.
I have rebooted and subsequently tried to re install guest additions.
And I get the following error again, and there is no virtual box icon in the guest system tray.

I'm encountering the same problem.
Trying to install Guest Additions
6.1.0 but repeatedly failing due to error.
Method used was
1) extracting
C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxGuestAdditions.iso
2) running
..\VBoxGuestAdditions\VBoxWindowsAdditions.exe /with_autologon
Machine is Ryzen 3 2200G running Windows 10 Pro fully updated.
Have attached
