Hi,

I had a look on the newsgroup, but I cannot see really, something on how to handle multiple CPUs.

I am using ( now, Ubuntu 8, with Duo core ) as host and try to run Windows XP as guest.
I would like to dedicate 1 CPU, only for VBox. ( and Windows in this case )

- How can I change / modify paramaters for that ?

BTW, on Windows, I used to use CTRL + Del, to open a pop up menu, and selecting which application should be " real time " , how can I do that now? As soon as I do "CTRL + Del " my mouse get out of VB to come back under Linux !?

Cheers,

Stephane

Stephanie, this is issue has been dsicussed many times. If you use the google search trick in the Forum Posting Guide then you would have found them. The VM is only presented a single CPU so the VMM will not get above 100%. VBox does not assign a specific processor affinity so the running VMM will flip-flop between available CPUs, but only one CPU will be running the VMM at any one time.

You can reset the Vbox Host key to something other than Right-Ctrl in the Vbox Preferences.
