Cannot escape from Windows XP

I am running a number of virtual machines on VB, and for each one, the host key to escape the guest is Right CTRL. This works in all but one of my VMs; Windows XP. This means that each time I want out of the VM, I need to shut it down completely. This is very inconvenient, and I have no idea what the cause could be. If anybody else has experienced this with XP, please provide your solutions.

Look in the user interface preferences for that VM.
Edit: Belay that. The feature I was thinking of is not configurable per VM, it's configured in global preferences.
Given which, your report doesn't make much sense to me... especially since "escaping" from a VM is only necessary if you have not installed the Guest Additions, and I don't know why you'd fail to do so with an XP guest.
If you want to continue this discussion then I'll need a log for the XP VM. With the VM fully shut down, right click and "Show Log" in the GUI, save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip, and attach the zip here. |
