Cannot access Documents folder within home folder

Hi there

I have a Windows 10 Pro Host that I am running on VirtualBox, running an Ubuntu 19.04 guest. I have installed guest additions and created a share of my Windows home folder for Ubuntu.

I can access the home folder, and even create folders within it, but I cannot access the Documents folder within my home folder from Ubuntu. I have no idea how to modify the permissions or configure Ubuntu/Windows to allow access to this folder. Can anyone help?

if you have the windows shares available on the guest then your network is set up properly. Imagine now that you have a windows PC and an Ubuntu PC side be side instead of one being a virtual machine and solve the permissions issue accordingly.
