captured usb does not work (fully)

Hi,

running fedora 29 host, windows 7 guest.
yesterday installed the new version of Virtualbox 6.0.6., extension pack and guest additions.

when VM is running in windowed mode the mouse and keyboard work as before.
when switching to full screen, keyboard contuinues to work until mouse is clicked.

it seems from then on any click or keyboard input goes to the linux host and no longer to the windows guest.
so mouse/keyboard is not captured anymore by the guest in full screen mode.

Is this a known issue? what can i do to fix this?

I'm sorry, but what USB device are you referring to? I really hope that you're not capturing the mouse and the keyboard as USB devices, this is not only unnecessary, but dangerous, because capturing the keyboard and the mouse in the guest will "lose" these devices from the host!!!

But, I think that you're not describing the problem correctly, to be honest. I think that what you're seeing is similar to "Weird mouse behavior with VirtualBox 6.0.6 upgrade (#18567)". Please let me know if that's what you're seeing...

I have to apologize, because about an hour after my post I found the article you linked. I should have added this to my post.

My issue is similar to #92742;
I can not describe it in a better way, though. I have almost no issues when running the guest in windowed mode, except that one captured usb device (smart card) is not available to the guest until several retries.
As soon as i switch to full sreen mode (Host+F), mouse clicks are no longer processed by the guest system; same for keyboard input.

I do not capture mouse or keyboard as USB devices.


I switched back to VirtualBox 6.0.4, but kept the guest additions at 6.0.6.
Behaviour of the VM is now OK again.

I previously linked to another thread: "Weird mouse behavior with VirtualBox 6.0.6 upgrade (#18567)". That's what you're seeing. Please continue there as I'm going to lock this as a "Duplicate"...

See if Test build r130207 fixes the problems for you. If it does fix your problem, please reply to the thread that I linked to...
