I have installed virtual box- and created virtual machine. i have even installed OS on it. then i removed virtual machine. i created new virtual machine and tried to install OS on it. this time i am getting blue screen,

also, i can't use function keys on virtual machine to try to get into boot menu.

what could be wrong here?? i am trying to install using flash drive. also i tried installing extension pack but it will produce error message and did not complete installation.

What are you doing? Step-by-step! Repeat the process from the beginning (new VM), but this time record *everything*.

We need to see a complete VBox.log, from a complete VM run, where the problem occurs:

• Start the VM from cold-boot (not from a paused or saved state) / Observe problem / Shutdown the VM (force close it if you have to).
• With the VM completely shut down (not paused or saved), right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager and select "Show Log".
• Save only the first "VBox.log", ZIP it and attach it to your response. See the "Upload attachment" tab below the reply form.

I have created new VM using new virtual machine wizard
under settings .vdi virtual disk is mounted to SATA CONTROLLER
i have usb drive attached to my laptop which as bootable os windows 10-from which i was able to install os once on VM
when i tried reinstalling os

No, it doesn't I'm afraid. In order to have a bootable USB, you need to create a rawdisk that points to the USB and use EFI as your boot option. You didn't mention any of these, so I'm not sure how you expect to boot from the USB.

Also, I told you to describe it step-by-step. Do you see any step where you attached the USB? Somehow? Anyhow?
