URGENT: Windows Guest - Black Screen
Posted: 15. Apr 2019, 06:54
Hello
I purchased new Dell G3 3759 laptop with Core i7-8750 H, 16GB RAM, SSD + 1TB HDD running Windows 10 64Bit Home Edition. Virtual Box 6.0.4 installed with Win 7 32 Bit and WinXP 32bit guests. All were working fine.
As I was facing performance issue while laptop running on battery, Dell support suggested to have major windows update (Oct'18) that might resolve the issue. Unfortunately, issue didn't resolve and come-up with the new one after up-gradation. All windows guest mentioned above stopped booting, only black screen shown, I tried to change different settings even I tried uninstall/install of VirtualBox and re-installation of guests, it doesn't work. Got stuck now. Dell people are not aware of such thing, looking for the proper solution as I badly need Win7 32Bit to support legacy system for my clients.
Its very urgent, please comment as earliest as possible if anyone have any solution.
FYI, all virtualization settings in BIOS are verified and working fine.
Thank you
Harsh
