[Resolved] General protection fault in WIN87EM.DLL

Post by Beastie971 »

Hello

I have a "faute de protection générale dans le module WIN87EM.DLL ... l'adress 0001:2C9" each time on the same action in the program.

Context
Guest Win XP Pro SP3
Host Linux Ubuntu running VirtualBox 6

Do you have any idea of this problem origin ?

Regards

There is long discussion of what looks like the same problem here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=59741.

I have not read the discussion, but since Michaln is involved (he's a dev that for some inexplicable reason has a fondness for antique guest OSs), I assume the discussion is in good hands.

The attached discussion thread doesn't have a solution, but it does discuss a workaround near the end.

Nice. Marking the thread as [Resolved].
Moving to "Windows Guests" from "Linux Hosts".
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
