GIM: HyperV: Guest indicates a fatal condition!

Post by Noquierospam1 »

Hello,

recently I changed the display graphics controller to VBoxSVGA, because the Guest was slow and laggy. It is now way more performant, but unfortunately the guest crashes from time to time with this error.

I would be really glad if someone could help me to troubleshoot this problem. I searched on google for this error, but didn't really find anything appropriate.

Your guest has crashed with a BSOD with bugcheck 0x116. In essence, there has been a timeout within the display driver for the VBoxSVGA vGPU and the attempt to reset it failed.

There are a few niggles with the new VBoxSVGA driver which we are waiting for the devs to fix. Your choices at the moment are the old VBoxVGA vGPU with the performance issues you see or the VBoxSVGA vGPU and the occasional crash. I guess you need to decide which you can live with.
