VmWare Orchestrator and VirtualBox

Hi :)

I need to run VmWare Orchestrator for an academic project in order to create a couple of workflows. Now, I was looking for a free virtualisation platform to run the .ova on and chose VirtualBox for my Mac (Mojave).

Then i imported the .ova file as described online and tried to start the Orchestrator. Everything seemed to be working fine until it repeatedly said: "sleeping 10 second for vro to start fully..." again and again. Unfortunately, I did not find anything online on this issue. The Base Memory and Processor amount should be enough according to the VMWare homepage.

Do I need to complete some additional configuration before running VmWare Orchestrator? I am just looking for a simple setup in order to complete the workflows.

Really appreciating any kind of help, thank you guys!

Could you clarify what it is you are having problems with and what you are asking? On the face of it then it looks like you are asking us for guidance on how to use VMware tools - something we are mostly unqualified to do!

Thanks for your reply.

I was not sure if the error comes from VMWare Orchestrator or VirtualBox, which is why I posted the question in order to clarify.

There's not a shred of evidence that VirtualBox in involved, and unless there is in the next 24 hrs since the first post was made (2019-02-27, 15:28 UTC), this thread is moving to /dev/null...

Hunting around to find out what VMWare Orchestrator is, it seems to be a management tool for VMWare VMs. I'm not sure how it could be expected to function for VirtualBox VMs. Best add that to the list of lessons: not all software which claims to do similar tasks is actually identical and interchangeable at a component level!

Oh, I have no such intentions! :D

The only thing is that we (moderators, and me specifically) are really annoyed by a one-time-posts, which after about a month are edited into spam. And they usually start with generic, non-VirtualBox specific questions and left like that, with no follow up.

Just by replying to the first post, you cleared that doubt already... ;)
