First, it mostly works fine. Installed with VB 5.2.22 and then updated to 5.2.26. Extension pack installed. Guest additions installed to the guest.
Issue I am encountering is with the clipboard.. despite having the settings enabled (bi-directional) for the guest, I cannot, when I use Remote Desktop (from a Windows 7 machine), use cut and past functionality. In fact, when I try to C&P a large text block or file, the explorer (or editor) window seems to "freeze" momentarily and will briefly display a "not responding" message in the title bar. I can select a file in explorer, copy it, but the paste context menu option is unavailable.
Don't have this issue with other guest OS's.

Re: Win2019 Copy/Paste from RDP session hangs
Nvm. I did have the issue with 5.2.22 but I noticed after I posted that, no clipboard was working... laptop, rdp sessions, nothing worked. Rebooted RDP host laptop and all is well in RDP / C&P land. Whatever had failed in 5.2.22 is fixed in 5.2.26.

Re: Win2019 Copy/Paste from RDP session hangs
It's funny how often a reboot (sometimes a cold, pull the power for 10") can resolve a myriad of problems!
Marking as [WorksForMe]. It kinda does...
BTW, please pick a more descriptive title for a thread next time. People searching for similar solutions will have a hard time finding Copy/Paste with RDP connections, if your thread is titled "Windows Server 2019 Problems", it's kind of generic. I hope you don't mind me taking the liberty of changing the title of the thread to something more... appropriate.

Copy/Paste works *only* for simple text, i.e. from Notepad/Terminal to anything on your host. It does *not* work for rich text format, files, images or anything else like that...babzog wrote:I can select a file in explorer, copy it, but the paste context menu option is unavailable.
