are intel'ingeneers crazy ?
i have no card installed because i don't have drivers and .... intel drivers want to have a card installed to installe drivers !!!!

Open the .exe file with WinRAR, you can extract it and get the driver from there. Then point Windows to the folder and it will install the driver. I never use the installer if I don't have to, too much problems most of the time is my experience.

intel card is running but i still does'nt get any ip address, dhcp is not working
i have verified, windows client dhcp is running.
??

I wonder what your TFTP has to be there. Where do you use it for? Remove it and see if that helps.

I don't use it on host , i have look at xinetd and the package is not installed on the machine ?
tftp on guest ?

I thought that the entry in your log was the problem, but it appears on my VM too in the log.

dhcp server is not running on host, which is client only we don't need server ?

VB had it's own build-in DHCP server for NAT interfaces. The Host has nothing to do with this.

It what i have understood , but i am try to understand why that's does'nt work on my PC, something missing ?
virtualbox 's network engine look like a black box, where it is possible to see what append ? no specific log file ? debug mode ?

SOLVED !!!!!!!!!
tired and knowing windaube i have re install xp and it is working grrrrr windows
at this point of discussion may i say something important
first i work under linux since long time , i began with suse 6.x
second i only keep windows on my pc (i am retired) onlly because my software for cellar is not runnind under linux
third i have try 4 or 5 years ago wine and vmware but i was not "convainc"
four i am really enjoy by vb, and now i can remove my windows partition
five support, especially you is fine

I have the same problem with xp guest on ubuntu (hardy 64bit) host.
Did you install the bridge before you reinstalled xp ?
I think I need a bridge, rather than using NAT, so that I can access my NAS as well as the printer.

Ric, you should be able to access your network printer with NAT. Same goes for your NAS. Normal network shares _should_ work. If you find any difficulty accessing them, see the
VirtualBox FAQ for help about bridging. There are a few conditons to keep in mind. After that, just follow the manual.

no Nat was installed but not working, i saw something wrong in xp netwprk properties like "wmi not installed" but wmi was running.
so after re installation of XP everythings goes on
