install centos-redhat under software raid

host os: Windows XP
guest os: centos-redhat v4
Virtualbox v1.6.6

two drives 8GB each.
Installation under software RAID 2 MD devices
md0 - /
md1 - swap

It doesn't boot after reboot.
Just black screen.

Note: If i put /boot under /dev/hd slice it boots.


Vmware the same problem.

What did i miss ? :?

Should be obvious, you made a configuration error. Not something that is wrong with VB as you stated it is the same for VMWare. Read up on how to set up Software RAID properly while maintaining boot options. I'm sure there are lots of howto's and other information on the net.
