VirtualBox 5.2.18
Guest system Windows 7 x64 Home Premium, Aero enabled
Host system Windows 10
Graphic adapter Nvidia GTX 1050, all drivers up-to-date
Looks like I faced known bug of graphical subsystem:
https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/16664
Here how does it look for me:

My display artifacts look slightly different than in the ticket, but the behavior is similar, it appears only if Aero is enabled and gradually covers all the screen. Provided workaround does not help me, my display drivers are already updated. I can not easily migrate even to the next minor version, however, does anyone know, is it fixed in 5.2.22 or 6.0.0?

Moved from "OSE" to "Windows Guest". OSE is for issues with the open source edition and the building of that edition...
We need to see a complete VBox.log, from a complete VM run, where the problem occurs:
We need to see a complete VBox.log, from a complete VM run, where the problem occurs:
- Start the VM from cold-boot (not from a paused or saved state) / Observe problem / Shutdown the VM (force close it if you have to).
- With the VM completely shut down (not paused or saved), right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager and select "Show Log".
- Save only the first "VBox.log", ZIP it and attach it to your response. See the "Upload attachment" tab below the reply form.

Reproduces under 5.2.22 as well. Going to check 6.0.0

Yes, the additional information was indeed useful. Can you somehow switch to/enforce the use of the GeForce GTX 1050? We've seen several problems with the Intel GPUs, just like the ones you're describing...00:00:03.776742 OpenGL Info: Render SPU: GL_VENDOR: Intel 00:00:03.776754 OpenGL Info: Render SPU: GL_RENDERER: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 00:00:03.776760 OpenGL Info: Render SPU: GL_VERSION: 4.5.0 - Build 25.20.100.6471

Re: Bug: pixelized artifacts around any window, Aero enabled
I did that AND restored the VM from backup, and for some time everything was smooth.socratis wrote:Yes, the additional information was indeed useful. But today the bug came back, so it appears on NVIDIA, and it takes some time to appear.
Code: Select all
00:00:03.228615 OpenGL Info: Render SPU: GL_VENDOR: NVIDIA Corporation
00:00:03.228676 OpenGL Info: Render SPU: GL_RENDERER: GeForce GTX 1050/PCIe/SSE2
00:00:03.228689 OpenGL Info: Render SPU: GL_VERSION: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 417.71
Should I create a separate bug in the tracker? Artifacts look different with that which already exists, even though STR are the same
PS Maybe some additional actions required, like reinstalling Additions?
