Ubuntu, Xubuntu, and Kubuntu 6.06 Seamless and FS issues!

I have been having issues using seamless mode and fullscreen mode on Ubuntu, Kubuntu, and Xubuntu 6.06 i386. For some reason, seamless mode is grayed out and when I try fullscreen mode it is just black around the edges. I've searched through the forums and have seen the most common questions for a possible solution are:

1. "Have you installed Guest Additions?"
2. "Is 'vboxvideo' mentioned as the driver for the videocard
in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file?"
3. "Did you update your system after installing Guest Additions?"

Well, I have properly installed Guest Additions. The 'vboxvideo' driver is mentioned as the driver in the xorg.conf file. No, I have not updated my virtual system since installing Guest Additions. Infact, I made sure of this by deleting my first go around of Xubuntu 6.06 i386 and redid it making sure that I updated before installing Guest Additions. What is interesting to me is that none of the 8.04 versions of these OS's have this problem. Does anyone have even the slightest idea of what is wrong or is this just a problem that will hopefully be fixed in a later version of VBox?
