Hello all. I am a new user with an old Mac. Is there any way to install virtual box on Mac running on 10.8.5? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

This is not an "OSX Guests" question, this is an "OSX Hosts" question, moving accordingly.

The manual says:

Support for Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) and earlier was removed with VirtualBox 5.0. Support for Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) was removed with VirtualBox 5.1. Support for Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) was removed with VirtualBox 5.2.

So, I take it the latest you can run on OSX 10.8.5 would be 5.0.40 from 2017-04-29. You can find it in the 5.0.x builds area.
