If you could control what the host does from within the guest, that would be a dangerous thing, no?

There could be other ways to communicate things between host and guest, such as Guest Properties. See ch. 4.7 Guest Properties of the User Manual for more details.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

You are probably right. All depends on how we use things. I'm not seeing how capturing a video of what the guest is doing dangerous but have not been playing with VirtualBox for that long. I would think it would be possible to enable/disable on the host some of the feature could be possible. Would be nice to be able to start recording but applying what was defined in the host. But again I'm green here so my ideas are probably too basic.
