Hi
Running virtual box with Macos Mojave 10.14.1 and noticing that upon start up the Fedora 28 or 29 and also Ubuntu 18.04 or 16.04. The screen flickers upon starting up. These could be bugs that still exists with the current version of virtual box 5.2.22.
Is there any work around with this issues?

It's not always issue free. But, the biggest question is if you updated the Guest Additions in your guests or no. We need to see a
complete VBox.log, from a
complete VM run:
- Start the VM from cold-boot (not from a paused or saved state) / Observe error / Shutdown the VM (force close it if you have to).
- With the VM completely shut down (not paused or saved), right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager and select "Show Log".
- Save only the first "VBox.log", ZIP it and attach it to your response. See the "Upload attachment" tab below the reply form.

00:00:01.334637 VRamSize <integer> = 0x0000000001000000 (16 777 216, 16 MB)
Your VRAM settings are too low. Take it to at least 64 MB if not all the way to 128. Since you're at the Display settings, enable 3D acceleration.
00:00:31.873120 VMMDev: Guest Additions information report: Version 5.2.8 r120774 '5.2.8_KernelUbuntu'
You need to update the Guest Additions. They're old and they're the Ubuntu provided ones, not the VirtualBox ones.
Other notes:
- Do you really need 8 GB of RAM for the guest?
- You could install the Extension Pack in your host. You could gain a lot of added features, mainly support for USB2/3.
