Windows10 (Guest) Bluetooth Not pairing with OSX Host

Hi,

USB settings show Apple Bluetooth Host Controller available (and selected)

When I try to pair, I get Bluetooth USB Host Controller (driver not available). And of course it won't pair.

Is there an option in Virtual Box, or should I just switch to BootCamp?

Is there an option to do what in VirtualBox?

If Windows requires a device driver in order to use a device then that is not a VirtualBox problem. I can't imagine any option that would eliminate that requirement.

If a driver is available, e.g. intended for bootcamp, then that driver may also work in a VM.

Other posts mention Bluetooth issues. One suggestion is Bootcamp.

So I'm asking whether VirtualBox is planning to support OSX/Windows10 bluetooth.

And thanks for the quick response.

Debating on digging for the Windows Driver to support the OSX host, or just deleting everything and moving to BootCamp.

Bluetooth is just another USB device, nothing more, nothing else. It's not a specific bus. Please take a look at your USB devices.

Not sure which Apple hardware you are using but if you have a wireless keyboard and mouse and you give the USB Bluetooth adapter to the guest then you will lose the ability to use them on the host while the VM is running.

Come to think of it, I've bought Bluetooth USB dongles before and AFAIR Win10 found the drivers automatically, from the Internet.

And Andy is correct: if you have bluetooth devices already connected to your host then you can't assign ownership of the bluetooth controller to a VM.
