Genymotion is a program that relies on VirtualBox, but modifies its configuration files in unknown ways to us, and with unknown consequences. It is not supported on these VirtualBox user forums, they have their own Genymotion support channels. If you are having this problem with a standalone version of VirtualBox (after a complete uninstallation of Genymotion), then we can continue this discussion.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Even without Genymotion, Android isn't a supported guest either.

And no, it is not a bug. From previous similar discussions IMHO this usually boils down to a bad choice of sound card in the VM settings.

After all, we know that the virtual hardware is capable of audio, otherwise NONE of us would have working audio in our VMs. Therefore failures must be due to a lack of compatible drivers in the guest. I.e. drivers for the audio chipset currently selected in the VM settings.
