My Mac (MBP8,1 High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G65)) crash and restart (like blue screen in windows) when applying updates (windows update) in my guest (windows 7 pro x64)
Then I have to delete all vm's files (including the .vhd, yes in my case I use .vhd but shouldn't be the source of the issue!) because corrupted. Nothing seems possible to do to repair it....
First time I installed ultimate (used all-version iso file of win7 for installation of the vm)
and then pro. The same thing happened both time.
first time, I made my updates in last, way after the install. So my VM was loaded of several important files and work on it w/o any back up (stupid me...)
Second time I did updates first and did a snapshot, so didn't have to delete the VHD and reinstall win7 (even if it is not so long)
149 important updates and 9 on the side. happened both time after around 15 minutes of installation.
Almost all VM settings to default both time except of 3072mb of ram instead of 2048 and 3d acceleration enabled, shared folder with my Mac activated and guest additions installed. Storage capacity set to dynamic
Some one can figure out why this still happen? I don't want bootcamp anymore, need to use both at the same time (Mac and windows)...

Not with that information. Something, somewhere, somehow crashed... We need to see a complete VBox.log, from a complete VM run:hans01011 wrote:Some one can figure out why this still happen?
- Start the VM from cold-boot (not from a paused or saved state) / Observe error / Shutdown the VM (force close it if you have to).
- With the VM completely shut down (not paused or saved), right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager and select "Show Log".
- Save only the first "VBox.log", ZIP it and attach it to your response. See the "Upload attachment" tab below the reply form.
