bridged networking for VMs without router on the network
Posted: 23. Sep 2018, 18:03
Hi all,
How to configure the bridged network for VMs without router on the internal network
Remark:
In my old FTTH plan the ONT is with a built-in router but in the new FTTH plan the ONT is without a router
Internal network connection:
FTTH (new plan)
-> ONT (Optical Network Terminal)
-> 4 ports (for connecting computers)
⟫ ifconfig
Bridged networking with router (old FTTH plan)
Host
/etc/network/interfaces
Whether replace
address 192.168.8.4 with
replace
network 192.168.8.0 with
replace
broadcast 192.168.8.255 with
replace
gateway 192.168.8.1 with
Please advise. Thanks in advance
Regards
