Hi,

as somebody mentioned here in Fedora kernel thread : VBox 5.2.18 doesn't work under kernel 4.18 (and 4.19-rc as well, probably). So I'm waiting (altogether with many other people, I guess) with upgrades of some of my Linux servers/environments. And as kernel 4.18 has been pushed already into the lot of distros (Fedora, Debian, etc.), the question is simple - where will be VBox 5.2.20 officially out, please ?

Do you mean VirtualBox won't install on a host running a 4.18 kernel or that you can't install the GA into a guest running a 4.18 kernel? If it is the latter then all you need is the 5.2.97-124971 latest Testbuild or Development guest additions ISO.

The devs generally don't share that kind of information with us. The best answer we can give is "when its ready".

VirtualBox 5.2.18 is working without problems here on a Fedora 28 with kernel 4.18.5

no problems here with 5.2.18 and kernel 4.18.7 (no problem with any of the 4.18 stable releases) - Host = Arch 4.18.7, guests: Fedora 28 with kernel 4.18.7; Arch 4.18.8

Andy, for future reference it would be best to not:

1. link primarily to the Development releases, but to the Test Build ones (or even both)
2. link directly to a specific URL in that area, because the downloads have a lifetime expectation of 3 weeks at the most. By the time the addressee sees your reply, a new build might be there
