Hello,

I am trying to start a linux machine and I got the following error.

RawFile#0 failed to create the raw output file /ubuntu-xenial-16.04-cloudimg-console.log (VERR_ACCESS_DENIED).
Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Component: ConsoleWrap
Interface: IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}
If I uncheck the serial port option, the machine is working but because I am using VirtualHostX this settings are not saved.

I am using the latest version of VirtualBox

Do you have solution for this?

Anything not native/genuine/straight VirtualBox is not supported here, you may want to look elsewhere for consultation.

Ok let's leave the VirtualHostX. When I want to start a linux machine in VirtualBox I got the error that is showed above.

If I go to edit machine settings and uncheck the serial port, the machine is working and the error is solved.

The questions is how I can start the machine without uncheck the serial port.

Thank you,
Laurentiu

output file /ubuntu-xenial-16.04-cloudimg-console.log
On / only root has the right to write! Use a directory, where the user can write!
