error when trying to start virtual machine

Ok, this is going to be a pretty stupid question, but after following the instructions in the above link (thanks, btw), do I need to reboot, sign off or what because I still don't see my USB drive.

If you change things on your Host that involve hardware, always reboot. There is also a possibility that you need a line in your /etc/fstab. If you search the site here with Google, I'm sure you will find it.

Sorry it's taken a while to get back here.

Well, I made the changes prescribed in the link shown above. The thumbdrive appears on my Kubuntu Desktop, and I have access to it, but I cannot see it in VirtualBox. I'll go back through everything again to make sure I didn't miss anything.
