Hi,

on Linux (Ubuntu 18.04), every time VirtualBox is updated, I need to *manually* install the extension pack and update the guest additions for each VM I have (Windows 7 guests).
This is painful...
Is there a way to automatize this process, using a script for example?

You can install the extension pack on your host from the command line. There has been a discussion of this recently in this thread. That was on a Windows host but it works more or less the same way on Linux - you just need to have the right permissions to be able to install it.
