Re: Feedback & comment to the Administrators and Moderators
Yes this can be done here but you need to send a PM to an administrator.
Link this topic in your PM and send to either
Frank Mehnert ucp.php?i=pm&mode=compose&u=494
klaus ucp.php?i=pm&mode=compose&u=14

Re: Feedback & comment to the Administrators and Moderators
Hi
Thank you. I have sent a pm to one of them, only that newbies cannot insert links ... . If I had known this before, I would not have got involved in the Oracle forum discussion referred to in my post, but I think the discussion there is relevant to the administrators here, since some big changes are being planned for all Oracle products' forums, which might affect the future of this forum & the way it is run, which without the VB forum administrators' active participation in their implementation might not be good for those who use & value VB & its forums.
Regards

Suggestion on the emails the forum sends:
Could the forum operators please add which subforum the post being reported is in? Sometimes one is active in more than one subforum and can't remember easily where a post resides. Please change this:
to this:

It may help some folks, like me at least...

Re: Feedback & comment to the Administrators and Moderators
scott? I'm not sure what the issue is because when I get a notification it includes a link that takes me directly to the post. Or do you just want to know ahead of time?

Re: Feedback & comment to the Administrators and Moderators
I get my emails in my guest at work and I browse & post on my host, I guess I could just copy the link & paste on the host. Wait a minute though...
(tries right-click on link, sees "copy hyperlink" as choice, copies, pastes in host browser, jumps right to post)
D'oh!
OK, if it's a lot of trouble, never mind. Thanks, Lou, that was very easy!

Re: Feedback & comment to the Administrators and Moderators
Let me get this straight... You're actually posting about not being able to post?
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Re: Feedback & comment to the Administrators and Moderators
Well it would be nice to know why i am not getting any replies and what i did wrong to not get taken seriously, even if someone doesn't have time or have all the answers it would be fair to know you are not being ignored, if i did something to offend someone i am sorry.

Re: Feedback & comment to the Administrators and Moderators
The simple answer is, sometimes it takes time to get a response. Everyone here is a volunteer and replies when they can.

Re: Feedback & comment to the Administrators and Moderators
No problem. Just keep in mind this is a users forum which means someone who knows the answer to someone's question has to be online and reads someone's post before it can be answered. I've been on the forum for approx 7 years and as far as I know, no one is ignored purposely.
