[Resolved] Guest additions not allowing copy/paste

I recently wiped out my Windows partition and reestablished it as new. Running Windows 7 64-bit on Mac OS 10.13.5. I established bidirectional clipboard/drag-and-drop. I have also shared two folders from OS with full access granted and auto mount enabled. They do not show up however and copy/paste continues to not work. I get a pop-up message on the top that tells me to reinstall my guest additions which I have now done twice, (v5.2.14). I'm not sure if I need to uninstall them before I install and if so I'm not sure how to do that.
Kindly advise and thanks.

Partition or VM? Are you using the Bootcamp partition as a rawdisk access one?

The Guest Additions are not installed.

You do not need to install the GAs, you can install the new ones. With the VM windows in-focus, menu "Devices" ยป "Insert GAs CD image...", it will prompt you. If not, find the CD drive in your VM, run "VBoxWindowsAdditions.exe".

Thanks for replying. When I click on that, nothing happens.

Huh? 1) you mean double-click on the GAs installer or in the VM CD? 2) You don't see anything in the Task Manager?

I restarted the VM and now it's running. Thanks.
