I have been having quite regular kernel panice the past couple of days.
I have been having trouble getting the latest ubuntu upgrade to 10.13.5 to boot cleanly. The symptoms have been:
- Timing out the /boot volume ( /dev/sda1 ) - I have done 'fsck -f /dev/sda1', and every time the disc is clean
- Timing out the network connection to wi-fi
- There is no native USB on the virtual machine
- There is only the wi-fi bridged connection
- Virtualbox version: Version 5.2.12 r122591 (Qt5.6.3)
The panic seems to happen when I try to get gnome display manager to start. I'm not certain, but it seems to come shortly after:
service gdm3 restart
This is issued from the console in recovery mode.
I've attached the latest panic log.
