Host disk corruption after installing VM52 on Ubuntu 18

Hi,

A week ago I installed Ubuntu 18.04 on my SSD Drive, and yesterday I installed VM 5.2

After installation and use, I am getting SATA messages of disk unavaible or missing sector,
the computer freezes and after rebooting it goes to fscheck, after passing fscheck I can
login on host computer but in less than 2 minutes I get the corruption message again.

How may I trace/debug this?, because once it fails it goes to text mode and I can't capture
screen or copy messages...

Regards,
David

I'm not sure what that means. Maybe you mean "VirtualBox 5.2.m", where "m" is an even number between 0 and 12? Please be accurate when reporting an error...

This does not sound like a VirtualBox problem, that sounds like a problem with your SSD and/or Ubuntu installation. You should treat is as that, i.e. head over to the Ubuntu help sites...

Just FYI, VirtualBox doesn't do anything magical to the host. It's just another host application, using host files in normal ways. The fact that it simulates hardware does not imply that its own use of hardware is anything unusual.

So if you really have host disk corruption problems then I suggest you look elsewhere.
