macOSX: 10.13.4 (High Sierra)
VBOX: 5.2.12 r122591 (Qt5.6.3)
I have had this problem since I upgraded to High Sierra. I use multiple Linux VMs, always in full screen mode. When I restore a VM from saved state, I am getting two windows for that VM:
- (1) one is in full screen mode, but has a white stripe at the top. That window is "dead". I see the full Linux desktop and opened windows, but I am unable to type or click anything (no reaction).
- (2) the other one is not in full screen mode (it is a regular application window). It also shows the complete Linux desktop and works fine.
I then kill the full screen instance (1) by clicking the red ball, and switch the second instance (2) to full screen (HOST+F) and things are back to normal.
Not a real big deal, but just another of those annoyances. Has anyone else seen this ?

This looks like it is a symptom of a known issue with High Sierra.
See #17168: VB display frame and content are no longer bound in High Sierra (osx 10.13) for details of the available workarounds.
