i have just installed Debian 9 on my computer. I installed virtualbox 5.2 (Version 5.2.10 r122088 (Qt5.7.1)
), after which I added a couple of different Linux distros for my VMs, and added a snapshot for each of them.
Whenever I try to restart either of the snapshots, they crash with the message, "Failed to open a session for the virtual machine vmname".
The rest of the details are as follows:
The VM session was aborted.
Result Code:
NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Component:
SessionMachine
Interface:
ISession {7844aa05-b02e-4cdd-a04f-ade4a762e6b7}
Is there an easy way to fix this please? Thanks.
Snapshots always crash on attempted restart

I think so... Try the latest 5.2.x test build from https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Testbuildsmekrem wrote:Is there an easy way to fix this please?
You're going to need the generic Linux-64 package. Read the instructions. Install it and let us know if things improved...
