[Solved] No "Devices" menu on OS X host
[Solved] No "Devices" menu on OS X host
I've installed VBox 5.2.8 on High Sierra 10.13.4. I've created a single VM, Fedora LXDE, and I'm trying to install the guest additions. I do not have a "devices" menu when the Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager window is selected and the VM running. My menu items are from left to right, VirtualBox / File / Machine / Window / Help. The iso doesn't show as an available disk image to mount in the VM Status Bar when I click the CDROM icon.

Re: No "Devices" menu on OS X host
The "Devices" menu is available when the VM window is selected, not the VirtualBox Manager window.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

Interesting...that's even worse. All I have there is "VirtualBox VM"

Interesting... Then go in the VM settings » User Interface. You should see all the available top menu items: Application, Machine, View, Input, Devices, Debug, Window, Help. Click on them to toggle their availability. They should turn into a different shade of color. Not on the downwards arrow, but on the words themselves.

Ok, that did it. Interesting UI design element. Thanks!

Re: No "Devices" menu on OS X host
The question is how did it get disabled in the first place, since this is a per-VM setting... Anyway, glad you got it going. Marking as [Solved].
