I'm trying to install VirtualBox in order to work with Minikube. I ran the installation package on my machine and at the end got an error message

The installation failed. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.

I tried installing 5.1.34, then got the exact same error. I have MacOS High Sierra version 10.13.3. Any ideas what could cause this error? Thanks for reading.

I found the solution to my question on AppleStackExchange. The post is titled "virtualbox-5-1-28-fails-to-install-on-macos-10-13-due-to-kext-security" and was originally posted October 17, 2017.
