[Solved] Ubuntu 16.04 freezes as I start VM

Hello, I have been using my virtualbox until a few days ago

now when i start it, ubuntu freezes. I have tried to remove and reinstall virtualbox but nothing changed

can someone help me?

You're using the Ubuntu fork version of VirtualBox, which is 1) way too old, and 2) unsupported. You can either ask in their forums for help, or completely remove/uninstall/delete/purge their version and install the official version from the Downloads section of VirtualBox.

If that doesn't work you should try the latest test builds, especially with all the Spectre/Meltdown patches coming in from all sides.
