I have a critical error after trying to apply the monthly update of windows 10 : KB4058258

I use a MacBook Pro with 10.13.4, Virtualbox 5.2.8 and windows 10 pro version 1709
I have the same problem on a iMac with 10.13.3 and virtualbox 5.2.6 or 5.2.7.

I suppose it's a Microsoft problem and not a Virtualbox problem

As a first pass, are you sure you have the 32-bit version of Windows 10 installed, and not the 64-bit one?

I deleted your 2nd message that included the Guru meditation picture. 1) it didn't contain any information we didn't already know, 2) it was oversized; you need to change it from 144 DPI to 72 DPI in Preview, not everyone has a HiDPI display, and 3) it was in French, and pictures cannot be easily translated, but it didn't matter that much, see #1.

Yes it is a 32-bit Version , notified in Windows and Virtualbox.
If i restore the windows system before the update everything is fine.
I blocked the update system of windows. But the system allows me to block it only for a month

Hmm... I have a Win10-32 guest stored somewhere, I'm going to try and see if I can replicate that. It's going to take some time, because I have it "frozen" in version 1511

I had some problems with my specific medicine programs when i moved to 1709.
That is the reason, i never moved to 64 bit windows version. It was to hard to make a new installation of all my programs and radio X drivers.
Time Machine is very helpful to restore a VM after a fatal crash
