[WorksForMe] can't uninstall

uninstall routine asks for password, but then has a symbol with a key and does not allow me to input anything. cannot type my password. WTF?

If you mean VirtualBox, then the installer/uninstaller always asks for your password before making changes to the Operating System. It's normal behaviour for any installer that needs to alter an Operating System. It wants your Administrator Password to authorise the system changes required.

The symbol with the key is a recent addition to the OSX Terminal. It's meant to tell you that whatever you're going to be typing in the terminal is not going to show, not even as "*****" or "•••••" for security reasons. All terminals tend to do that.

Just type your admin user password. It will be entered...
