I have a small but annoying problem which I like to see fixed.
I'm using Ubuntu 8.04.1 (Hardy) 2.6.24-19-generic/x86_64 and VirtualBox v1.6.2
Now, it appears that VirtualBox opens or resizes like 3 or 4 new windows on startup before the WindowsXP/SP3 guest is running. I also keep moving the window to the top/left screen position, simply because I like it to be there on my first 24" monitor. Can this position be made permanent somehow?
And how do I stop VirtualBox from opening new windows (on startup) in different locations?
Here's what I do/happens:
1) click Start in VirtualBox to start the "Windows XP/SP3" guest
2) a new window opens
3) window moves to new position and displays: "Press F12 to select boot device" (*)
4) window moves to new position and MS Windows XP logo shows up
5) window moves to new position and resizes to target size (owner login)
* I have changed the 'bioslogodisplaytime' setting with:
VBoxManage modifyvm "Windows XP/SP3" -bioslogodisplaytime 0
Jumpy windows on startup
