Networking: wifi access point on host bridged to guest?

Hi,
I use host (Ubuntu server x64 17.10) and guest (another x64 Linux distribution).
I would like to set up WIFI access point on Ubuntu (based on hostapd and atheros m-pcie wifi card) and use 'Bridged Adapter' in VirtualBox to bridge guest network interface.
DHCP would be on the guest side and wifi network will be used exclusively by the guest.
Should it work?

VirtualBox does not offer a WiFi adapter to any VMs, it's only Ethernet adapters, i.e. wired ones. The only way that you could access a WiFi network over WiFi would be to use a USB WiFi adapter, which 1) you'd have to capture in your VM, and 2) you wouldn't be able to use on your host.
