How to set up networking correctly for a backup VM with different primary IP but same Secondary IP
I would like to create a running backup VM for one of my VMs. I want the secondary backup VM to initially have a different IP, but to receive all the same traffic that the main VM does. I heard that this is possible through binding a second IP, but with all the networking options available within Virtualbox and the actual VM, I am not sure how to go about this. Does anyone have any ideas?

Do you have a plan if these were real, physical computers? How would you do it then? Don't you need a load-balancing server or something similar that will handle the failures and the networking?
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Do you really expect a reply based on that?ToxicBlood wrote: I heard that this is possible through binding a second IP
